Since today was our final day in Disneyland (and since we’d had such a disappointing Day 5), we had big plans for our last day in the park! We got to the park early, so we could go through security and be ready at the gates when the park opened at 9:00.
The first thing we did was get a FastPass for the Racers Rapid Spring ride, and got a fairly early FastPass – 11:30. Then we crossed over to Disneyland to get a FastPass for the Indiana Jones Ride.
We discovered that the line for the Star Wars experience was only 15 minutes, so we stood in line, and got in quite quickly! I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and have been since I was a little girl, so it’s so interesting to see what Disney has done with it, now that they’ve acquired the rights to it. I really enjoyed the virtual reality hyperspace ride!
After the Star Wars ride, we crossed back over to California Adventures to take advantage of our FastPass, although there was absolutely nothing fast about our hour long wait in the ‘FastPass line’. Again, this is why I’m so glad they’ve made so many interesting things to see while standing in line. The Cars ride was good, but I prefer Big Thunder Mountain railroad, and Indiana Jones, so I didn’t think it was worth the massive wait.
After the Cars ride, we headed over the Tower of Terror. This was really only for my sister, I find it a little too terrifying myself, but she had fun! Then we crossed back over to Disneyland, and spent some time looking at the beautiful train at the very front of the park.
We went to Pirates of the Carribean, followed by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and then headed over to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mountain again. We were so glad we were able to hit all of our favourite rides again before we left!
Then, as the sun was setting, we headed to Toon Town, which looked adorably idyllic in the setting sun!
Back in Fantasyland, we stood in line for 50 minutes to ride the Peter Pan ride, which to be honest, was not worth the wait, although it looked pretty neat at Twilight.
Then we headed to New Orleans Square in Frontierland, so that we could get some dinner. My dinner was a churro (don’t judge;), and my sister had a bread bowl soup, which smelled heavenly.
Then we headed to Main Street USA to grab a good seat for the ‘Light the Night’ Parade. We were able to get a great spot, and the parade was an absolute delight! I was so glad we caught it on our last night.
It was such a wonderful, and magical way to end our time at Disneyland! We had an amazing trip, we were so lucky to get to ride so many rides, have absolutely beautiful weather, and really enjoy our time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
