Today was exciting because we went out to the Victoria Lavender Farm! It’s about 20 minutes outside of Victoria, and it was delightful. The farm has lavender (obviously), but also some lovely animals – including several beautiful peacocks, a flock of geese, a few little goats (including one named Steve who got his adorable little head stuck in the fence for a few minutes!), and a delightful border collie named Cosmo!
After the lavender farm, we headed to Sydney By the Sea to get some lunch at look at some of their quirky used bookstores. There’s something magical about a used bookstore, in my opinion. They’re full of undiscovered delight, and whenever I’m in one, I feel the weight of all the experience and wisdom sitting in the books around me.
We went to dinner at a great little Greek restaurant called Ithika. I had a salmon filet and some veggie dolmades and it was wonderful!
