University of Cambridge Botanic Gardens

There are few things I love more than gardens, and so when I started researching things I wanted to do in Cambridge, the botanical gardens hit the top of my list!

And they did not disappoint! I got there as early as I could, and was glad of another beautiful day.

My favourite part was the beautiful greenhouses – many of which still have the original wood, as well as the glass, and some new metal reinforcement – but they looked very Victorian!

After I’d wandered around for a bit I had a lovely lunch of a tuna fish sandwich and a chai latte, and read my book in their sweet little cafe! It was a wonderful day!
