Sedgwick Museum & Sidney Sussex College

A few days ago I visited the Sedgwick Museum – an Earth Sciences museum here in Cambridge.

Although small, the museum has a very interesting collection of fossils, rocks, and minerals. I also like its chronological organizational paradigm. And though it’s of course very interesting to see the skeletons of the megafauna that they have, I also found the teeny tiny but incredibly well preserved fossils of small shells and corals.

After I left the museum, I wandered around in the historical centre of Cambridge hoping to tour a few of the college campuses I haven’t seen yet. But the ones I was looking forward to seeing (Trinity and Gonville and Caius) were both closed to the public.

But I found Sidney Sussex College, and had a peek around that campus which was very nice!
